  Cam Boyd

  Team Leader

  Cam Boyd is a broker and former owner of Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty. With over 33 years of experience in all aspects of Steamboat real estate, he has worked with more Buyers and Sellers than any agent in the Yampa Valley. His sales volume has ranked him as one of the highest producing agents in Steamboat Springs for the last 12 years. In 2021, Cam sold over $100 million in real estate, 90 transactions, at an average sales price of $1,500,000. With a lifetime sales volume of $1B. To help run a smooth business he works with a team of specialists including his Transaction Manager, Shelly Wu; a Marketing Director, Alexa Struss; a Digital Specialist, Josh Cook; and a two Broker Associates, Ben Berend and Bruce Carta. Much of Cam’s success comes from a background in sales and negotiations with the ability to work through everything from minor details to the most complex transaction. With sales ranging from ski area condominiums to exclusive guest ranches, he has the experience and skills necessary in today’s rapidly changing market to help his clients achieve their real estate goals.   Ben Berend

  Associate Broker

  Born and raised in downtown Steamboat Springs, Ben spent his childhood at Howelsen Hill dreaming of someday competing in the Winter Olympics. A member of the US Ski Team for five years, Ben made 24 World Cup starts and competed in multiple World Championships. He represented the United States in the 2018 Winter Olympics, becoming one of 96 Olympians from Steamboat Springs dating back to 1948. After realizing his Olympic dream, Ben headed to the University of New Mexico, where he earned his BA in Media and Journalism. While in Albuquerque, Ben raced for the UNM Ski Team, becoming a team captain and D-1 Academic All American. GO LOBOS! Most recently, Ben was the Marketing Director for USA Nordic where he focused on building strong foundational partnerships within the Olympic and outdoor industry. Unable to shake the Yampa Valley Curse, Ben returned to Steamboat Springs to join the Boyd Team at Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty. Ben comes from a family in the custom home business and understands the importance of the ideal space. He brings his driven approach and local knowledge to the Boyd Team and aims to not only navigate his clients through successful transactions, but to create an experience that is cherished for years to come. Outside of work, Ben can be found volunteering his time at the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, backcountry skiing, mountain biking, gravel riding, or enjoying Chowders at Storm Peak Brewing.

  Bruce Carta

  Buyer’s Agent

  Bruce Carta is the Boyd Team’s Buyer’s Agent. Bruce specializes in Steamboat Mountain Area properties and Resort Living. He started his Real Estate career in 1990 working for some of the Top Producing Realtors® in the Aspen/Snowmass area. After this he became a partner and helped open the Aspen Real Estate Company office in downtown Aspen, Colorado. Being a resident of Colorado since 1981, he has been through many of the Real Estate market’s ups and downs. After relocating to Steamboat Springs in 1996 his career has included working in the marketing of the Steamboat Ski Area, selling vacation ownership at Trendwest Resorts and providing specialized Real Estate Marketing reports while working for a local title company.

She has extensive experience as a licensed Escrow Officer and has handled a variety of real estate closings throughout her career. Her attention to detail and proactive approach helps ensure that every aspect of the transaction is taken care of, and will work closely with you to guide you through the process.

  Alexa is the newest member of the Boyd Team and serves as the Marketing Director for the team. She has a focus on staying innovative, building meaningful relationships, and is committed to excellence. She has a degree in Public Relations and Strategic Communication from Purdue University with a minor in Entrepreneurship. She has experience working with homeowners while marketing in various industries and understands the value of exceptional customer service and helping people achieve their life goals.

  Digital Marketing Specialist

  Josh Cook is The Boyd Team’s digital marketing specialist. In today’s online world, having someone who knows the industry and trends is a must. Real Estate has become increasingly internet centric, having Josh on the team to meet those needs sets The Boyd Team apart. Josh moved to Steamboat Springs from Florida where he graduated from the University of North Florida, majoring in advertising. After college he honed his skills with companies like Global Publishing Inc., The Callaghan Agency, World West LLC, and Tiffany & Co. He continues to strive to make the Boyd Team’s internet presence as expansive as possible enhancing each listing’s presence.
